There are 10 issues here, and you can choose one of them to discuss in your paper and be prepared to discuss in class.
The issues are outlined in an online slideshow. Look at the issues, select one to write about, and write a 1000-1200 word paper on the issue, adding insight and background. Be prepared to share what you have learned about your issue in class on the day we discuss the issue.
Note: For this issue, being present (with your clicker) for the discussion is worth 20 of the possible 100 points. The other 80 points will be from the paper. This means that if you do not attend the discussion, you will have a maximum of 80 points possible for this issue.
Papers should be submitted to Turnitin.com by 11:59 a.m. on the day of the issue discussion. Late papers will not be accepted by Turnitin.
